Answer
Patsy, if you can see Oscar's waist then you are doing fine. Most pugs should be 20 pounds or under. You do need to get him on a high quality dog food. If you can buy at the grocery store it is not the best quality. We feed our guys Flint River Ranch. Go to www.frrco.com/122607 for more information.

Take Oscar to your vet and they should be able to tell by looking at his teeth. That is the best way I know of to tell.

If he is in fact 10-12 years old, you need to feed him a high quality senior diet. The Flint River Ranch Senior plus is a really good one.

Thank you so much accepting a senior into  your heart and home. They are the best kept secret in the world.

Thanks and good luck.
