Question I have just found this site and like what I see. When I looked up inline skating I arrived here and started reading profiles. You caught my eye with Artistic Roller Skating coach. Also the fact that you mention the Northwest.
I am curious as to what 'Artistic' skating is?
I have roller skated for years and went to inline skates about 6 years ago. I like to do various manuvers that I tend to call spinning or freestyle. I have never tried jumping, but I do like to express myself in various ways. I feel like I could do a lot more, but not sure where or how to learn. I am wondering if you could help me find some lessons or somthing similar in the Portland/Vancouver area.
Answer Hi, Artistic skating on Roller Skates is the same as on Ice. Jumps Spins, Dance, Figures, Pairs, etc etc. You are located next to a great place to learn to skate. The URL is http://www.oakspark.com/index1.html. That is the Oaks Park in Portland and they have instruction in Artistic Skating, and have a competitive program if you are interested. Visit my NW Links page too while you are at it. http://members.aol.com/mbruland/index.html
