Question I am looking for figure roller skates. I presume they are different from artistic skates as they are without the brakes as seen in artistic skates. Also I presume the distance between the wheels are different. could you please tell me where to find figure roller skates? What brand? Where to order? Are there specific sites to order figure roller skates?
Answer Figure and Artistic quad skates are the same. There are figure plates, boots and wheels, Dance boots, plates and wheels, Freestyle boots, plates and wheels. You need to go to a site like Harlick or Riedell for boots, Atlas for plates and there are MANY wheels. Your best bet is to go to a roller rink close by and check all of this out. It is very confusing unless you actually see what is offered and they will have catalogs. The brands I mentioned are only because I am familiar with them, but there are MANY, MANY to select from. GO TO A RINK THAT IS A MEMBER OF THE USARS AND RSA. THEY CAN HELP YOU MUCH BETTER THAN ONLINE. YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE WHAT YOU ARE GETTING. If you want to search online, check the keywords like ROLLER FIGURE SKATING EQUIPMENT,HARLICK SKATING BOOTS, RIEDELL SKATING BOOTS, ATLAS ROLLER PLATES, SNYDER ROLLER PLATES etc.
