Question I used to dance skate in the USARSA back in the 70's at Levittown, NY. There is a skating reunion next week in NJ and I need to replace my wheels. Technology, nomenclature and choices have evolved significantly in the last 30 years and I'm a bit lost as to what wheels I should try to buy for dance skaing today. My old wheels are Webers (unsure of hardness or size) that I almost broke my butt on. Can you make any recommendations for something that will be appropriate for today's surfaces so don't risk breaking my butt again.
Thanks.
Answer Yes, wheels and skates have changes A LOT. Ok, here is what I suggest. If you are worried about a slippery floor and not used to the new floors, there are two type of wheels by Rolline and one is called "Mustangs" and the other "Pythons". Also there is a wheel we use a lot by Hyper called "Whiskey". Stange names :) but good wheels.
