Question Mehdi,
I created a file in quark and it has both cmyk and pms colors. Do you know what kind of issues I will have when sent to print. Can we use different types of colors in the same file? Does it make the job more expensive?
I appreciate your help! :-)

Answer dear Marcia
using a pms color will add to the price of a print job because you will have to use more the the normal four colors. there are books you can order that will give you the cmyk value of the pms color www.pantone.com also u can choose pms colors and when sending to print convert them into process's. i recommend if you have an orange or fluorescent green always use the pms color also in photo shops if u choose a color that is pms you can see how it will print in cmyk(almost) also for printing a job will be more then happy to help you. you can call me at (973)427-9393 and ask for Matt. we have a hi end print shop and will be more then happy to take good care of your business.
thank you
Mehdi
