Expert: Mehdi Saharkhiz Date: 4/26/2006 Subject: Importing PDF files to Quark Passport 6
Question Hi,
I am running Max OSX 10.4.6 and have Quark Passport 6.
I need to import a PDF file to quark, for text editing, but it
appears this version of quark doesn't have a PDF importing
feature.
I've found an Xtension on the quark website, pdffilter 1_6, that is
supposed to add the feature I need -but I can't install it. I get an
error message saying : Classic cannot find a Mac OS 9 folder on
the startup disc to use.
Please HELP!

Answer Chris you need to upgrade to version 6.5 where you can import PDF and work with it hope this helps.
also i reccomned using Indesign much faster and better then quark you can also open the pdf in illistrator and make it into an eps that will also solve the problem
