About Sebastian SH
Expertise
I know about specific trivia: who wrote each song credited to the band, who sings where, who plays what, the kind of instruments they used, which songs were more complex, vocal ranges from Freddie, Roger and Brian, and the veracity of certain long-run rumours.

Experience
I've collaborated in several websites regarding those areas and I'm in touch with some of the top Queen experts. I've communicated via online with Brian May and David Richards as well.

Subject: John's Amps and Pedals

Question
What amp does John use on recordings and stage and what kind of effects of pedal prossecors that he use to make his sound?

Answer
Hello

In the early days, John used an Orange amplifier. From 1974 onwards he'd move on to either Acoustic or Hiwatt, for both live and studio purposes. On recordings (at least the Roy Thomas Baker era) bass usually went to two or three simultaneous tracks.

No pedal effects as far as I'm concerned.

Cheers

Seb
