Expertise
I`m pretty good in most every genre of movie, but horror and sci-fi are my best categories. I`m also pretty good on the old studio films of the 30`s - `50`s.

Experience
Three walls of videos in my den, and a shelf of reference books. Also have a degree in film criticism, which helps...

Questions about Movies - Girl is responsible for deaths in her family

Expert: Popcorn Guy - 6/28/2009

Question
I watched a movie on tv when I was a child (some time in the 80's) in which a girl was inadvertently responsible for the deaths of several of her family members.  Here are the deaths I remember:

1) She and her brother tied her sister's shoestrings together while riding in the car.  The family pulls over and they have to quickly get out of the car.  The sister can't get out, and then the car either explodes or catches fire.

2) The girl throws a ball or frisbee on the roof.  The brother goes to get it down and falls to his death.

3) I think she orders a pizza that kills a family member (either poison or allergy - not sure).

4) Also, I think she might have knocked an electrical appliance of some sort into her mother's bath.

At the end of the movie, I think the girl was in an insane asylum.  I have been wondering what this movie was since the day after I saw it.  If only we had had a TV Guide at the time!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Christine...

You are looking for a TV movie called "Don't Go To Sleep," made in 1982.... it's kinda hard to find, but you can find it on Amazon relatively cheap.. also, give a look at a site called creepyclassics.com... they usually have it, too...

Hope this helps,

TPG
