Questions about Movies/Old Spooky Movie
Expert: Debra - 6/2/2009
QuestionI was born in 1948 and remember watching a black & white movie when I was a young child. It was about an old spooky 'red-neckish' house. There was an insane girl that lived there and used to walk around the house saying the phrase something like, 'Horses, fleases, in comb beezes, on chest knobses, in chest keyses.' This phrase was a clue to some secret kept within the house. Another scene within the movie that I remember was that the family all sat down at the dining table for dinner. There was gravy that contained poison. The gravy was in a bowl on a lazy susan. The lights would be turned off in the dining room and someone would spin the lazy susan and the gravy would glow indicating who it would end up in front of. I have a twin sister and we both remember watching this movie but neither of us can remember the title. We would love to see if we can dig this up to watch and reminisce. Thank you in advance for any information you can offer on this movie title or back ground. Joyce Krohl
AnswerHi joyce,
Im sorry to say I have no idea what this movie is but it has me intrigued.
I know its only a short time since Ive had this question, but I know my resources and how to search if its something I dont know and I have come up blank on this.
So Im sending you this reply to let you know that I may not be able to get an answer for you in the 3 days that are expected of us to reply, but I sure as heck will keep searching and get back to you as soon as I can.
In the meantime, if you can remember any other things about this film, no matter how minor, please let me know.
I will also send your question to the pool, so the other experts in this category, if available, can have a look and one of them may know.
Hope to talk to you soon
Cheers from down under
