Why do most of the lead actors in Alexander talk with an Irish accent?

Answer
That was a creative decision made by director Oliver Stone after he cast Colin Farrell in the lead. Since Farrell is Irish with a thick accent to boot, Stone went with the idea of having all the supporting players speak in that tongue for consistency.
