AboutBrad Lang Expertise I can usually find the answers to most factual questions regarding stars and films from the 1970s and earlier, or tell you where to look. I'm not going to be able to help you with more recent films, and especially with made-for-TV movies from the 90s and later.
Experience I've run a Web site on the general topic of classic movies for over ten years, and am a lifelong movies fan. Please visit my Classic Movies site at http://www.classicmovies.org
Question Hello. I'm a bartender and we like to discuss old movies, Topper, The Thin Man, etc. I came up with the old Henry Aldridge movies and no one remember who played the part. All we can agree upon was the opening of either his aunt or mother yelling, "Henry!....Henry Aldridge!". Hope you can help, it's driving me crazy. Thanks
Answer I received some additional information related to this question:
"I saw your posting of an answer to "Henry Aldrich" movies in the '40's.
As "trivia" I'll add that the town depicted was West Chester, Pa. and the Drugstore where the events took place was DeHaven's ... a very real and memorable place in our town owned by Henry V. DeHaven and his wife.
Many of the characters were "take-offs" on members of the Class of '46 at West Chester High School."
