Question
Hi! I am desperately trying to find a horror movie that I watched with my father years ago. I must've been about 10, which means it can't have come out after 1990, but I know it was in color, so it can't have been ancient. It revolved around a group of characters that get trapped by an evil force inside of a house that I believe was a brownstone or townhouse in the city, but I could be wrong. At one point, a few characters wander into the basement to find a way out, and while attempting to remove bars from a view-out window, one character is electrocuted. In another scene, one character does manage to escape onto the street, only to have the asphalt turn into a liquid the texture of stiff oatmeal, trapping him. I'm not sure how he dies. There is at least 1 white guy and 1 black girl in this movie. For some reason, my mind tells me that this movie has some affiliation with Atlantic City (i.e. filmed there, set there, an actress hailed from there) Thats all I remember. I would be forever endebted to you if you can help me on this one. Thanks

Answer
Hello Marcy -

Wow! That movie sounds VERY familiar to me, but I am sorry to say that I can't think of the name of it! But have no fear, there still may be hope - try going to www.joblo.com/arrow . This is my favorite site for horror movies and finding out titles. If you still can't find the answer, try emailing the "arrow," from reading his movie reviews, I can tell that he is the ultimate horror movie guru. I hope this helps you and if you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask! =)

Expertise

I am a huge movie buff, but my forte is in 80s movies (esp. the `teen` ones) and horror movies (esp. 80s/b-movies). The horror series I am most familiar with is Nightmare on Elm St. I am able to answer questions referring to plot, some trivia/Facts, and I can attempt to answer any in-depth questions one might have. If I am not able to answer a specific question in detail, I will do my best to asnwer something relative to the question or reccomend a good source!

Experience

I own many 80s teen movies and horror movies (mostly between 1980-mid 90s)and I also record ones that I don't yet have off of television. I am an active viewer of many horror movie review sites and always check daily to see if something new comes up, and compare my reviews to theirs.

Awards and Honors
I once won the award for funniest "horror" film when I made an amateur parody of horror movies once =)
