AboutMel Priddle Expertise Films have been my great love since the age of four when I saw my first. I am particularly knowledgeable on the films of John Wayne, Frank Sinatra (and his music) and Elvis Presley (and his music), but I will try to answer any question relating to movies from 1900 to the present day.
Experience I am an ex-cinema manager and film publicist.
Question Was John Wayne's brother, Robert Morrison, ever in any of Wayne's movies? Did he ever work for him to any degree in his films or production companies?
Answer Hello Jim,
Robert E. Morrison (1911 - 1970) is credited with having worked on the following films:
The Fighting Kentuckian (1949) (Assistant Director)
Seven Men from Now (1956) (Producer)
Gun the Man Down (1956) (Producer)
Man in the Vault (1956) (Producer)
China Doll (1958) (Associate Producer)
Escort West (1958) (Producer)
The Alamo (1960) (Production Associate)
McLintock! (1963) (Production Supervisor)
Hondo And The Apaches (1967) (Associate Producer)
These were all films starring or produced by John Wayne, mostly under the banner of his Batjac Productions which started up in 1951.
It would appear that when Wayne started this company, he decided to make it somewhat of a family affair, with son Michael also heavily involved.
It's possible that Robert E. Morrison was involved in many of the other films produced by Batjac, but these are the only ones I can find that credit his name.
