Question I would like some info on how rag quilting started. I understand it has been around for a while, but that is all I know.
Answer I too want to know how this wonderful process got started, but I have not been able to find anything conclusive. Someone mentioned in a blog that Sandy at Quilter's Corner in Lewisville, TX made the first rag quilt with flannel, but that she got the idea from a rag quilt made with denim. I can't find anything else, not even in the rag quilting books I have. Sorry I can't be of more help. If you find something, let me know? I would really appreciate it.
