Subject: quilting with diamond shapes

Question
I need to sew diamond shapes together to form rows.  It looks like I will have little tails after sewing two pieces together.  Is there a way to sew them together without having to measure 1/4" and allow for that each time?

Answer
HI Rosemary
Can you tell me if the diamonds are 45 or 60 degrees.
