Subject: quilt as you go

Question
Hi I would like to know how to quilt as you go. I am doing blocks with a border.

Answer
Hi, Carol,

Quilt each block, or border section, up to within 1/2" of the edges of each section.

Sew sections together by turning under quilt top edges 1/4". (This can also be done by sewing 1/4" seam with right sides together.) Trim batting in each section to butt up against each other from one section to the other. Sew backing of sections together by turning under edges 1/4" and blindstitching into place. Then continue the quilting lines over the joined edges, or seams.

Let me know if I can help further.
