About Audrey Zohner
Expertise
I am an expert rag quilter. I have made over 100 rag quilts and would love to assist others with questions and methods. I don't know much about actual quilting like machine or hand quilting or applique. I am, however, the resident expert on rag quilting in my town. If you want to make a rag quilt, I am your woman.

Experience
I have been sewing for 12 years and rag quilting for 4. I have experienced just about every pitfall there is in rag quilting. Check out my quilts at audreysragquilts.etsy.com.

Question
i am wanting to make a rag quilt with some of the squares consisting of signatures from people will the bubble jet work on flannel if i have to use 100% cotton will the quilt"rag" as well as flannel or should i put the sinatures on cotton and the rest of the quilt flannell? would this work or would the cotton get all "pilly"

Answer
I don't know what you mean by bubble jet, but I would put your signatures on regular cotton and make the rest of the quilt out of flannel.  I would also put an extra layer of flannel behind the cotton squares.  Also, your quilt won't get "pilly" at all as long as you wash it with a delicate cycle in the washer or hand wash it.  Thanks!
