Question I mistakenly printed pictures for my photo quilt with a laser jet printer rather
than an ink jet printer. I did not realize my mistake until the quilt was together
and quilted. Is there a product available to "seal" the pictures to prevent the
pictures from running?
Answer What did you print your photos on? I have had no problems using the laser color in place of ink jet as long as the fabric the photos are printed on is pretreated for printing.
However, there is a product that you can use to launder the quilts to preserve the photos. The product I use is Bubble Jet Rinse.
If you can print one more photo, let it dry one week then try laundering it carefully by hand in cold water and see what happens. If it seems to run then you will have a problem.
