Subject: Batting in a rag quilt

Question
My 8 year old daughter is making a rag quilt with batting in the middle. Unfortunately I cut the batting the same size as the material and we already sewed the X to hold the batting in. Now I know I should have cut the batting a little smaller, is there something I can do to cover this mistake instead of taken out the X on 64 squares.

Cheryl

Answer
HI Cheryl
The only thing I can think of is to trim the batting where it is outside the squares.

we all learn from our mistakes.  do not be discouraged.  I teach 2 classes a week, and I still make mistakes in class.  the students get a laugh when the instructor errs.
