Question
I know how how to calculate corner squares for a finished measurement by using formula :
15" finished top,  divided by 1.414+875  = half triange square.................. but...........
How do I calculate the centre square,  just by measuring the diagonal line plus turnings ?
Or is there a chart somewhere that gives all relevant information.
Most I have seen only give HS triangles and not finished and centre measurements.
Help please.
Christine

Answer
HI christine,

I found this set of instructions that should help with your block calculations.

http://www.equilters.com/library/PFP/square-in-square.html

This is a fun block to make and is easy.  Our quilt group made one for a lady whose house burned down in town.  It was interesting to see all the different fabric combinations.

have fun quilting.
