Question
I am new to this so maybe this is a dumb question. I've cut out my 8" squares and I've cut out my 6.5" batting. Now what? Do I put the squares together with the batting in the center leaving both of the right sides of fabric out? (showing) Then do I need to stitch around the square 3/4" or do I just pin it in place and do my machine "quilting" in the center of each block and then assemble and stitch 3/4". Thank you so much for your help.

Answer
Hi Karen,
No question is a dumb question.  Here is a site from JoAnns that has pretty good instructions for the rag quilt you are making.
