Question i have a fireman's scene on fleece, two panels. I would like to make a larger tie quilt than the size of the panels. my son is soon to graduate from fire training and will be a fireman in our community. he is 6'3" so i want add to the size of these panels. should i sew added fleece on all eight sides and tie the edges, or maybe add the fleece by tying both edges. i hope you have a better idea. thanks susant
Answer Hi,
Since you need to add fleece to the front and back of your blanket, I would sew fleece onto all eight sides and then just tie the edges like normal. I know this isn't the best solution.
If you don't want to sew, then you can tie the extra fleece on to the edges. A friend of mine did this and it looked good. Take one panel and clip the edges to tie. Then clip the edges of the fleece you want to add on and tie the two together. Do the same on all four sides. Then repeat for the other panel. Then..... Clip the edges and tie the two panels together.
If you do this method, make sure to tie two opposite sides together first and then tie the other opposite sides. Hope this helps!!!
