Question
When appliqueing will I do all the quilting on the top layer first and then apply the appique work or quilt on top of applique also?  Please rush answer.

Answer
Hi, Linda,
You will do all the appliqueing to the surface ("top") fabric first. Then you will create a "sandwich" of the completed "top", the batting, and the backing fabric. Then you will quilt through all 3 layers of that "sandwich.

Quilting can outline and/or cross over the applique pices.
