Subject: chest pain and numbness

Question
QUESTION: hey i quit smoking 2 weeks ago and have recently came down with mild to irritating chest pain and numbness of my shoulder and arm is this common?

ANSWER: Hi Tommy, Good you quit spoiling your health.   You will feel much healthier in couple of days. Chest pain is not because quiting, rather your chest will feel healthy in couple of days more. You have come this far, you will do it now.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: so i shouldnt worry about the numbness and all with it because at first i was worried about it having something to do with my heart but i have checked my blood pressure and everything is normal idk i guess being worried about that s making it worse

Answer
If you don't have serious medical problem before quiting, and this is yr first time, & if it getting over as we speak then no need to worry. If you think the pain has increased and is increasing  then you might admit yr self in a hospital.   Boy I know it's hard but really go for a walk or run when you feel an urge or feel you are getting down.  Must go to a park where it is green grass and take   101 deep breaths , and boy you will feel good.
Warm wishes
Sharma
