Question
How long does it take for the nicotine to leave your system after you stop smoking?

Answer
Lisa,

It takes only 1-2 weeks for the effects of nicotine to wear off after someone quits.

But nicotine metabolites can hang around in the blood for longer, if you are asking whether a test would find it.

Here is some info on nicotine metabolism

I hope this helps,
Michael
