Question
Hi,

I am 26 years old and have been smoking for the last 5 years. I initially smoked only 5-6 a day but then it has probably become about 12 a day. I just quit smoking 3 days ago. I am concerned that i may be at risk of breast and lung cancer. Can you help me analyze what effects this habit may have had on my health? Also, we plan to have children next year. Will this habit have any effect on my fertility?

Answer
Hi Shwetha,

You have already quit smoking 3 days ago right ? If yes then  whatever harm they do has already been done, and quiting will not create any harm. You concern abt cancer please check with a local hospital and get test done. So if it is not there it will not pop up after quitting. Now by the time you read this message will be 4th day . Congratulation ....

About effect on fertility, as you have already quit, there will not be any complication n quitting. if there was any prior please visit gynaecologist and get test done. I am positive that you will be fine as you are still young.
