1. Are cigarettes better for your health, instead of smoking tobacco out of a pipe?

No, Both are bad and there is no safe form of tobacco. But cigarettes cause lung cancer as well as several other cancers.

2.Are cigarettes the main reason people die of lung cancer?
Yes. No question. A smoker has about a 20 fold higher risk of lung cancer. Radon and asbestos also cause lung cancer, but they cause much less cancer.

3.What year was the cigarette most common?
For women the highest rate of smoking was 53 in 1963.

4.Who made the first cigarette?
Tobacco smoking started in native populations in central and south america.

They are basically the same. The major toxins are the same and the filters do not make them safer.
