Who said, 'art washes away form the soul the dust of everyday life'? Also...does that quote really begin with 'art' or is it 'music'... or maybe both?

That was attributed to Pablo Picasso, and did start with "art". I also found it with "music, as quoted from a German novelist who wrote children's stories, named Berthold Auerbach.I find more "official" looking sites that say Berthold Auerbach said it, but I cannot conclude, with my sources, which is correct.
