Question
my father wrote a statement in his dictionary in 1950s I believe this is his own work he is dead and I cannot ask him.  the statement begins
Where unpaved roads weave on never ending a new adventure sending
How can I search to be sure it is an original before I begin using it in my books.

Answer
Google.com allows you to search billions and billions of sites. You could try there. And you could go to Google's special book site and search inside of old books.

But, maybe it won't find it. It doesn't mean he was the first person to have said it. You should try other search sites too, and ask your library for help.

Good luck and sorry
