Subject: Who wrote this phrase?

Question
Who wrote this phrase? "There is no such thing as a free lunch?" My sister brought up this question on day. She hasn't been able to find the answer anywhere.
Thank you.

Answer
This would be hard to say with who was the first person to have said it. Here is what I found with a fast search.

There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch -
the TANSTAAFL Principle

I also believe there is something to do with business with this saying. But, I don't know who was the first person. Sorry
