RC Model Airplanes/Cars/Boats - looking for a transmitter

Expert: Matt Coia - 1/27/2008

Question
QUESTION: i have a transmitter  for my t-maxx 3.3 but i like the old type of transmitter  better than the new trigger / wheel. What should i look for? URL's of one please !!!
thanks,
sean

ANSWER: Sean,

I would check out ebay or a similar site for the transmitter you are seeking.  I'm not sure what you mean by "old type of transmitter" though...do you mean the original tmaxx transmitter?  If so, you can definitely find those on ebay for cheap.

Good Luck.
Matt

QUESTION: do you know if i can use a helicopter or a plane transmitter    for a t-maxx?

Answer
Oh, i see what you mean now. You are looking for a 2-stick transmitter. You could use an airplane transmitter, but it will be using a different frequency (49 or 72 mhz) and cars and trucks and boats are usually on 27 or 75 MHz. These frequencies have been assigned by the FCC. You can find 2-stick transmitters at many hobby shops and online sellers. It is usually best to go to a store because then you can talk to an expert about what you really need. Good luck!
