Question Hi, can I use ethano in any radio controlled vehicle. My son is going to attempt to make some for a science project and we would like to showcase his fuel. If this is not your area of expertise could you please forward this message to the proper person.
Thanks,
Melody
Answer Hi Melody,
I would advise against it mainly because normal r/c vehicle engines run on a mixture of alcohol (about 50-70%), nitromethane (10-30%) and lubricants (10-20%). It may be able to run on the ethanol but probably not very well. R/C engines are sometimes difficult to keep running even with the proper fuel. I would think that would be one more frustration you and your son could do without. Good luck.
