Question hi there i have a RC Wing-dragon 2 and my friend also likes
this plane but what i would like to know was if he bought
one we would want to fly at same time so is it possible to
get any type of crystal for his transmitter and also being a
different crystal than supplied with the wd which would be
same as mine as he would get it from the same shop would you
need to do anything to the plane please could you explain a
answer for me thankyou ..carl
Answer Hi Carl,
The new Wing Dragon's come with a 2.4GHz radio system in the USA. I'm not sure about in the UK, but that would solve the "frequency" problem.
Crystals are particular to each brand, although some brands are just the same OEM (original equipment manufacturer) items rebranded. It is best to contact the original seller of the Wing Dragon in your part of the world and see if it is available on other frequencies. They usually are.
I would recommend that you do a search for Wing Dragon on your side of the pond and see if you can track down the original supplier.
I noticed that the transmitter looks very similar to other Chinese/Asian transmitters, so you MIGHT be able to do some crystal swapping, but it would be BEST for your friend to get one on a different frequency from yours, or get the CORRECT crystals from a trusted source.
