RC Model Airplanes/Cars/Boats - making rc plane

Expert: Ken Myers - 7/16/2007

Question
Sir, I'm trying to make a arc plane, but don't know how to do it. Please help me out, by mailing me the procedure of constructing arc plane and please send me an rc diagram of rc plane.

Answer
Saurabh,

What you want to do requires much more information than I can give in an email.  You should really start out with a kit that you purchase to learn the basics.  If you do not have a local hobby shop, everything you need can be found on the Internet.  I'm in the USA, so my references are based on that.

I would recommend that you start by looking at the Tower Hobbies site at http://www.towerhobbies.com
Look for a "trainer" type plane, and since you want to learn how to build your own, look for a kit.

I would also recommend that you look there for books on designing your own models.

I would also recommend that you contact your local RC flying club and seek out a mentor to help you in the construction and assembly of your first model, as well as learning to fly it.

The library is also an excellent source of information.

Hope you enjoy your new hobby,
Ken
