QuestionQUESTION: When I was in High school Graduated 1979 TJHS alex VA, I remember one spring day cutting class with a buddy, getting in his Firebird Esprit, catching a buzz and he played a live album of REO and I believe Flying Turkey Trot was the opening song. I would love to get a cd of that album but I cant remember which live album it was.I have (find your way home,xm artist confidential,Hi infidelity Then Again...Live,and Second decade of rock & Roll 1981-19910 good stuff but I am missing my favorite. can you lead me in the right direction to locate the album. I would appreciate it greatly
ANSWER: Hi Joe,
The album you're looking for is "You Get What You Play For," REO's live record from 1977. The CD version of this album has two deletions for space limitations (Gary's Guitar Solo and Little Queenie). If you still have a cassette player or turntable and can find the cassette or LP, you can get those songs...those are hard to find. However, the CD is readily available on any online store.
I hope this helped. Those were great memories, weren't they?

QUESTION: Thanks mark, those were awesome as hell days. they cut out Garys solo? is that when he and kevin are having a note fight? I hope not. that was a great part of that show and album. Do you have it on tape or on vinyl
That answer helped me out a lot. Thanks.

AnswerHi Joe,
The note fight you reffered to is part of "157 Riverside Avenue," which is on the album...so if you picked up the CD, you would hear that. I do have both the tape and vinyl of this album...mainly for collection purposes. When I became a fan--some would call me a late bloomer as I didn't discover them until 1985--I got my hands on everything I could, and have kept most of what I collected. :) Sometime I wish I was a little older, because being a fan of this band would have been amazing cool in the 70s.
If I can help you out any more, please let me know.
Mark
