Question Dear Kathy, I met Gary at a concert in Lexington KY in about '81 or so and it changed my life. My question is, is he playing in a band or playing at all? Really miss seeing and hearing him. Thank You
Answer Hi Rob!
Gary's alive and well, and living in California. Since he recorded "Only the Strong Survive" on the Crescendo label, he's appeared at various charity events, fundraisers and guitar stores, as well as appearing at impromptu performances with other bands in the Los Angeles area. He's also twice played at the L.A. County Fair with REO for brief encores. Lately, he's been in the process of recording a few tunes at a friend's studio. Whether any of these songs will eventually appear on an album is anyone's guess.
