Question
The generator is hard to start, will sometime run a while but often stop when the starter button is released. I reset the carb valves to factory specs, have check out the cut out, checked oil level, etc. Someone said that it may be the RUN RELAY. Where is that located? Might that be right? What is you recommendation...

Al

Answer
Al, There are several reasons it could be doing this. First off was it running when you reset the carb? That is usually adjusted for smooth running under load. This is also an older model and I am not sure just where that relay may be located. To save yourself alot of headache and possibly money I would take it to a qualified shop that works on generators. Trying to repair something like this is better off left to qualified persons. Thanks, Bill
