Question The generator was running and the ac was on, the generator quit so ac went off. I turned off ac switch tried to start generator it would not start. I have checked all the breakers and can't find any tripped. The generator acts like it is not getting any power to starter switch. Please help.
Answer Frank, Is this switch located inside? If so there should be another one outside at the generator. You might want to check the ground to the generator as well as the hot lead to verify that there is power to the generator. Once you determine if there is 12 volts to start it there then you can go from that point on. Usually if it won't turn over then either the starter has gone or there is voltage loss. Thanks, Bill
