Question
i got a pilot light also got the fan blower on but it is not ignighting the burners what could the problem be it set for about 4 to 5 years

Answer
Gary, Sounds to me like you have an older furnace if it has a pilot, either that or it is a smaller one. Anyhow what you will need to check is that there is voltage at the gas valve when the T-Stat is on. That should make the valve open and the burner to light. If the valve doesn't open with power to it then it will need to be replaced. If it is as old as I think it is you may want to get back in touch with me because you will probably not be able to find that valve, but I have one here I believe. You will need to take a picture of it and e mail it to hunter42558@sbcglobal.net. Put Valve in the subject box so I will recognize it. Thanks, Bill
