RV Repair - 1999 Fleetwood Discovery tail lights out

Expert: Jim Monroe - 4/13/2009

Question
The tail lights and rear side marker lights are out.  Brake lights work fine.  I tried all of the fuses I could find and no luck.  Any ideas on where else to look ?  Yes I checked the bulbs and the fuses with a VOM.

Thanks,
Jim

Answer
my suggestion for you is to look in the rear behind the back cap on the drivers side. Follow the wires that feed the tail lamps to locate the chassis plug that the body builder ties into. If the problem is not in that location, I would pull the light switch out of the dash and check the output from the switch with a 12 vdc test light.

Good Luck,
Jim
