Question I just bought a 2001 Cardinal by Forest River.33ft 5th wheel. The bedroom slide goes out and comes in, but when it goes out, it lacks about 2 inches at the top to seal. I have adjusted the bracket the cylinder is mounted to and can tell the difference in the bottom of the slide with different adjustments, but the top won't go all the way out. The ends of the cabinets were hitting the wall and I took them off and still it won't go all of the way out. The manual says check hydraulic fluid level and it is fine. The adjustment it refers to in the manual is for the Living/ Dining room slide. I'm LOST???
Thanks,
Doug
Answer Hi Douglas,
Some slides are just not designed well. That is just how it is. I have seen this on Diesel Pushers costing 100k. I know that is not what you want to hear, But it is the truth. I suggest you make a prop rod to install on the side flange and the wall of the RV to close the gap. I know that sound hokie doke but many of the new RV's come with them stock from the factory.
