RV Repair - RV Monitor Panel

Expert: Eric Beck - 9/9/2009

Question
QUESTION: Hi There:
Our 'Monitor Panel' that shows the levels for the black and gray water, propane, battery voltage is staying on #the indicator lights#.  We can not figure out what is wrong.  My husband unscrewed the panel from the wall and unhooked and rehooked the wires up, etc. but to no avail.  We have a '97 Fleetwood Tioga, if that helps.  Thanks so much for your help !

ANSWER: just a stupid question for you, umm, could the switch on the board have gone out and is stuck in the on position? I would pick up another board and see if that one stays on or if works properly, they do go out sometimes. Hope this points you in the right direction.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Hi, and thanks for the very quick response.  Unfortunatley, there is no on or off switch for the panel; one simply 'presses' on the one you want a reading on and it lights up and shows you the level for that particular area you are reading, i.e., propagen, black, grey, etc. etc.  It's a 'Ventline' model, L5071, if that helps any.  My husband pulled circuit board and we are reading what it says on it.  If you would like us to send a picture of it, we could send one as I see that is an option.
Thanks again so much we are getting ready to travel and of course this just came up.
Catherine

Answer
Ya i know the model you are talking about I think, Thats what i was refering to, there should be only one push button that when you push it the whole board lights up, and when you let go of it the board should turn off, It sounds like that push button is stuck in the one postion, IF i am way off with what it looks like you can add a pic that is fine, sorry for the confustion
