RV Repair/water damage

Question
We bought a used RV and discovered it has a leak on the edge of the roof.  My question is there is water damage in the wall and I'm allergic to mold.  So, I'm concerned about what is behind the wall.  Can you remove the wall covering and replace it?  Do you have to put the same wall covering up or can you use drywall?  Or can you suggest a differnt product?  Jackie

Answer
well first off i would buy some proflex roof sealant and reseal the roof. after that start feeling around to see if you can feel any soft spots, or if you see any discoloration. If so that panel may need to be removed and replaced. No you can not use dry wall. This is going to have to be done with the same wood as used in it now.

I can help you with any questions that you may have in regards to campers and motorhomes. I will try to answer any questions that you may have about roofs, vents, refrigerators, A/C's, Etc. The only thing that i dont really get into would be anything dealing with the brakes, and Drivetrain. I can help you in those areas but maybe not answer all your questions
