If your RV has an LP leak detector, make sure it is working. Use a Bic lighter...hold it near the detector. Press tab to open the gas valve on the lighter, but do not create spark to light. This will release gas and if the detector is working correctly, a buzzer should sound. The detector shuts the propane off in case of a leak. This could also be the problem.
