About sarah
Expertise
I can answer most questions on rabbits.I have owned many different breeds of rabbits such as,mixed breeds, dutch, lop, mini lop, dwalf lops for more than ten years.I can answer questions on rabbit behaviour, illness, diet, general health, pregnancy and birth/after birth. Please note that i am not a vet so I will be unable to offer medical advice. I will not be happy answering any questions about a rabbit who is need for emergency help. My only answer will be go and see a vet. Rabbits are a long term commitment and they will need constant care, so trips to the vet also is needed.

Experience
I have been breeding rabbits for more than 4 years and have had many difficult as well as happy births and pregnancies in that time. Many times my doe's have not looked after her babies properly for whatever reason which led to me having to hand rear them. Still births are very difficult to come to terms with as i have had this happen a few times so i am able to offer much support. I have had to go through so much with my own rabbits such as illness/problems/diet issues so i will be able to offer much advice and support.

Education/Credentials
i am at the moment studying small animal care in college. i have volunteered in animal sanctuaries and farms.

Question
I have two female, lop-eared rabbits, who are 6 months old. We got them together, so they have always known each other. They have always been happy together and enjoyed grooming each other, etc. Due to the hot weather, 2 months ago we moved the rabbits outside. They really love being outside. They have a run and a hutch and we also let them have some time to run around the garden. One of the rabbits is more adventurous and has escaped out of the garden 3 times. She has always come back and been happy to be be back. She escaped this weekend, and now she has come back, seems to not want to be with the other rabbit. She runs away from her, and has pulled some of her fur out. The other rabbit is not being aggressive, she just goes up to her and tries to be affectionate. We don't understand what is going on and need some advice! Thanks.

Answer
hello amy

unfortunatly this does happen alot with rabbits even when they are siblings. depending on how long it has been since she last came back then it could just be that she is afraid, as when she had escaped something could have really scared her and she dont feel safe. give her loads of cuddles.
