Rabbits/2 Bunnies

Question
Hi, I just bought two 7 week old bunnies (a boy and girl not from the same litter) and I wanted to know when I would have to separate them so they wouldn't breed when I didn't want them to. I'm breeding them when they're old enough but I wanted to make sure how many months I should wait to separate them and the right age to breed them. Also I have an almost two year old bunny that I've had since he was 6 weeks old. I wanted to know if I could breed him with my new doe when she's old enough? And how can I introduce the two new bunnies with my old one properly?  Thank you for your time!

Answer
hi anna split them up at 12 weeks old .
rabbits are classed as adults at 5 months old -i usually start breeding at 4 months.
when your doe is old enough she can breed with the older rabbit.
introducing them will be hard as the older rabbit may want to fight them -he's been on his own and any rabbit that comes on his patch will get a good bashing .
try it out now but if he starts to fight them he must be seperated.

I can answer questions about breeding and showing rabbits. I have been breeding Black Rex rabbits for the past 10 years and have won numerous prizes for showing them. Ive also done a fair amount of judging.
