Question
how old dose albino bunnys live to be.i have had easter my albino bunny for 3 years.

Answer
Hi Porshia. Rabbits can live to be 10-12 years if they are very well taken care of. However most live for 6-7 years. Make sure that your bunny gets good quality rabbit pellets and fresh water every day. It is also very important to give your bunny quality, grass hay. It keeps his insides running in good condition. You can buy a big bale for about $4.00 from a farmer and it will last you a long long time. Store it in a clean and dry place. One of the most important things you can do for your bunny is to find a good vet that knows about bunnies. Not all of them really do. Look for one now when you don't need him and then you will know who to go to if you do need help. If your bunny gets the sneezes get him to the vet quickly as this condition can kill your bunny and the longer it is left untreated is the more dangerous it becomes. Do not let cats around your bunny. Can bites and scratches are deadly to bunnies!!! Love your bunny, take good care of him and he will be around for a long time.  Pat

Expertise

I can answer questions about raising and showing Jersey Wooly rabbits. I can also answer most questions concerning color genetics of rabbits.

Experience

I have raised rabbits for several years. For the past two years I have concentrated mostly on my Jersey Wooly rabbits which are similar to the angora breeds. I have several champions to my credit and am working to help develop some new colors.

Education/Credentials
For the past two years I have been researching the genetic color code for rabbits. Though I still have much to learn I feel that I might be able to help others with the basic knowledge of color inheritance.
