Hello, doctor,
I realized that the eyes of my dwarf rabbit have inner eyelids, bulging and bloody.
Symptoms have occurred in a very short time, within two hours. attached photos.
Was preventively vaccinates but I am very worried.

It 'something serious?

Many thanks.

Answer
Phil,

I'm not actually a doctor - just 10 years of experience owning rabbits. This looks like something that needs immediate veterinary care. They may just give you some drops or a gel to put in her eye, or it may be more serious. Please seek medical attention asap.

Best of luck, and please let me know how things turn out.

Expertise

I am not an expert on wild rabbits, only domesticated rabbits. I can answer questions regarding habitats, behavior, diet, health, pairing/bonding - pretty much anything having to do with owning a rabbit.

Experience

I've owned indoor rabbits for the last 10 years. During that time I've gained experience in areas like bonding exercises, understanding behavior, warning signs of sick bunnies, how to handle more serious illnesses (GI stasis, abscesses, eye problems, etc.) and more. It's rare that I come across an inquiry that I do not already know the answer to.
