Rabbits/Heart disease in Rabbits?

My rabbit had seizures/fits, which the vet said are very rare in rabbits.  When we took her in to the vet, they assessed her for head tilt, but neurologically she was fine.  It turned out that she had an arrhythmia, which was intermittent so the vet could not hear it to begin with.  Unfortunately later that evening she passed away.  It turned out that the seizure was due to a lack of oxygen reaching her brain.

If your rabbit has a seizure, please take it to the vet straight away so they can do thorough tests.  Try to keep it cool and calm as that will reduce the load on its heart. If you can video the seizure to show the vet that will also help.
