Question i just got a mini lop bunny 2 weeks ago. today my eye swelled up and now my parents thinks its the bunny's germs! the doctor thinks it is possible....but still my parents want me to give up my bunny! i dont want to lose him! how do i deal with this?
Answer Nicole, it is possible that you are allergic to bunny hair (dander). I have the same problem and I have around 400 bunnies at any one time. Just be careful to wash your hands before and after handling your bunny and do not touch your face when you are handling him. With time your reaction to him will become less as you slowly build up an immunity. This is good in the long run because it helps your immune system become stronger, like allergy shots.
